Similarities between social media writing and business writing

Though Social media writing is different from business/Formal writing they have some commonality in them:

  1. Whether you are communicating with your friends, family or any employee or superior, try to be simple and clear. Using simple and meaningful words can help understand the idea of the message more clearly, to the audience .
  2. Tone is very important to clearly portray the idea of the message. There should be a serious tone while reading the message.
     
  3. The communication needs to be clear and precise.
     
  4. The use of language also plays an important role. Though social media writing doesn't need proper language, as communication is done through emoji's, reaction and all that. Sometimes improper language can lead to a wrong impression on the reader's mind.
  5. Spelling and grammar check is also very important in both the writing's. Incorrect words can create a wrong writing impression on the reader's mind. Wrong spelling and grammar mistakes can lead's to wrong image of your brand.
  6. Identifying your audience is also very important in formal and informal writing. By knowing the reader you try to write content which is appealing to him/her, which creates an interest for the reader to read your writing.
  7. Try to communicate with the purpose in mind.
